Hi all, when I click on “register” for an event on my computer, event espresso correctly takes me to my question forms. However if others try to register using another computer they get the following message “this is somewhat embarrassing, isnt it?”, which suggests there are some linking issues that I cannot ascertain. I would greatly appreciate any advice…cheers Steve

Hi Steven,

The page ID’s are changing. The registration page has id 394 but when selecting register it is changing to 371. It shouldn’t do that it should revert to the default page id for the page with [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] on.

It may be worthwhile going to WordPress Settings > Permalinks and changing the permalinks to Postname, to make it easier to see what page is what.

Also, check that your core 4 pages are correct on the Event Espresso General settings – that they have the correct shortcodes in etc. It may be worth resaving the settings as well to flush the settings database.

Hi Steven,

When you are testing this on your computer, are you logged into the site? If so, I would also suggest that you verify that the pages that contain the Event Espresso shortcodes are published, not set as private or password protected.

Bingo! Josh, it seems you hit the nail on the head. I had hidden the page from navigation by making it private, thinking this was the same as excluding from navigation. Solution was to publish it and hide it from navigation using the exclude pages plugin. Thanks for your assistance men. Steve
