I’m sure this is something simple that is missing but what is the most likely culprit if i can’t see the event on a page?

What is the shortcode on that page? You might try setting wp-debug to true in the wp-config.php file to spot any PHP errors.

Also, check for the presence of older template files from a previous version is /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates. If there are older template files in this directory, these will override the templates included with the new version.

A quick way to fix this is by renaming /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates to something like /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates-old

ok this is weird — WP shows there is 1 update needed but the update page says all is up to date. By deactivating EE i see that it is that that needs the update. Could this weirdness have to do with it?

maybe delete the plugin and reinstall it?

That might help if the update did not complete, but I would check the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates directory first.

Also, make sure that this page has the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode on it.

  1. yes that short code is on the page
  2. Nothing in that templates directory
  3. Deleted and reinstalled plugin

still not showing.

Have you tried turning on debugging in wp-config.php? Was the event page working at one point before, and if so, what on the site was changed?

Decided to redo the theme on Headway and now works fine.
