| September 2, 2013 at 4:15 am Hi Mike, Personally I think you are on the right track with using Mailchimp, though you can email from Event Espresso, it isn’t geared for mailing lists as such. Apart from manually curating the emails, which would probably be the best but time consuming, what about setting up a dedicated page on your site, and simply linking to that in the email? We have an upcoming mini plugin thats being tested currently that might fit the bill, called the Calendar Table. It’s still in Alpha stage so has bugs, otherwise I would send you a copy. I would keep an eye out for it in the Pre Release section though. I think you will need to use the Custom Files addon, [ESPRESSO_TABLE] as it allows you to set a max date, for example [ESPRESSO_TABLE max_days=”30″]. This will probably need some cleaning up in the template as Custom Files code is designed as a base rather than a polished finish. |
