When I go to EDIT and update an event- the event name disappears. I am used to this occurring so I habitually copy the name of the event before going into EDIT so I can re-paste the title as soon as I start to edit the file. Just wondering if there is a way to prevent this from happening. Note that almost all of my events are what you refer to as reoccurring events. WordPress and Event Espresso are all up to date and running the latest versions.
Have you checked for any Javascript errors in the admin dashboard? I havent seen that issue before so currently that seems the likely culprit.
I would start by testing with no other plugins running except EE and bring the plugins online one by one. YOu can also test the theme by swapping it to Twentyeleven the default theme temporarily.
