I’m trying to see the event listing page but when trying to go to /events/ the browser redirects to the home page. Any thoughts ?

Hi,

Have you flushed your permalinks? Go to Settings > Permalinks and just press save.

Changing the event page display options in settings doesnt do anything on the listing page. The settings are all set to none or no, but the display shows the full listing.

Anything i can do to fix ?

Hi Mike,

Which settings are you referring to exactly?

Mike

EE4 > General Settings > Templates Tab > where i can change the Event List Pages display options.

The settings dont alter the way the events are displayed on the /events/ page. The events are being shown with full details, even though i have changed the settings.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the clarification.

It looks like this is a known issue and we have a ticket raised to fix it.

Hi Mike,

It may be a while before this gets fixed since it affects more than one view. Can you let us know which setting that you’re trying to change, and what you’re setting it to? This way we may be able to advise a short-term workaround.

Hi Josh, none of the settings change anything. Any workaround would be great.

Hi Mike,

Specifically, which settings are you trying to change and what to?

As Josh mentioned we are working on a fix but due to the nature of the issue it’s a fairly in-depth fix that will take a while.

If we know what you are trying to set up, we can possibly jury rig something to get it functional while we work on resolving it properly.

ok….i just want a list of events with a link to the single event page. I dont want all the details, just title, date, summary & in date order.

There are a few issues to sort out (inc. add ons not yet compatible) so i’m happy to wait to be honest.

Hi Mike,

Something like this can be done by creating a child theme and copying over the archive.php from the parent theme and renaming it archive-espresso_events.php. Then the event list will look much like what the normal blog post archive on your site looks like.
