I would like to get some info about Event Espresso running on my site and adding a shopping cart plugin like Cart66, Woocommerce, or if you have another recommendation, please let me know. I currently have Event Espresso running with Authorize.net and I need to add a plugin that will support checkout with digital downloads. Have their been a lot of issues running cart plugins as well as EE on the same domain?
I haven’t heard any issues about running them on the same domain, the only discussions we tend to hear are how to integrate the two plugins together. Currently there is no level of integration from us, though with some custom development you may be able to achieve this. As such your customers would have to understand that events and goods would need to be purchased separately.
One thing to look out for is if you use a plugin to secure your payment pages (like the WP https plugin), you may need to use it to secure your cart pages as well. For example, if you use WooCommerce you set the secure pages option in WooCoomerce off. Then use your https plugin to secure pages.
