Event Espresso – Requirements Check v0.9
New installation (requirements plugin)

Hi am about to do a first time new install. I decided to try and install tge ‘Requirements Check’ plugin, but it is failing with the below two warning messages:

Warning: file_get_contents() [function.file-get-contents]: http:// wrapper is disabled in the server configuration by allow_url_fopen=0 in /moderated/html/wp-content/plugins/espresso-requirements/espresso_requirements_check.php on line 106

Warning: file_get_contents(http://moretolife.org.za/wp-content/themes/platformpro/style.css) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /moderated/html/wp-content/plugins/espresso-requirements/espresso_requirements_check.php on line 106

Please advise my next step in fixing this? Much appreciated, Jason

Hi Jason,

The error that you’re seeing means that your webserver is configured to not allow the file-get-contents function. The setting that could be changed in this case is allow_url_fopen. Right now it says it’s set to 0. Setting it to 1 will allow the function to run as expected.
