Event email confirmations not being sent when payment processed manually

Hi

My current install is WP 3.6.1 and EE 3.1.36.1.P.

I have a custom email confirmation defined for my event. The option “Send custom confirmation emails for this event?” is set to “Yes”

The field for “Use a pre-existing email” has nothing selected.

When a booking is made using a payment gateway and the payment is successful the attendee receives my custom email confirmation, however:

When the attendee elects to pay by EFT (offline) and I update his record through the admin interface this custom email confirmation doesn’t get sent.

Any idea why and what I need to do to fix that?

Hi,

When updating the attendees payment and status, do you select the Email Notice to yes? See the bottom of this screenshot http://d.pr/i/VB3q

Yes – and that causes the payment confirmation email to be sent – but not the custom email confirmation email – which contains vital information for the attendee.

Hi Dieter,

It turns out that if the confirmation email option is set to send emails after payment then the confirmation email needs to be also manually sent out. This can be done via the attendee overview by clicking the envelope icon on the same row as the attendee that you want the confirmation email to go to.

Thanks Josh – that solves my problem.

I had not expected that option there to be honest.

Perhaps you guys can add it to your list of “to-do” items that if a payment is manually updated or captured (for payments by check or EFT for example) that the registration email either:

a) goes out automatically; or
b) you place a button to send out the registration email manually in a more accessible / logical location.
