What causes the application to change the events status to Closed?

Hi Paul,

Once the Registration End date and time have been reached, the status will change to Closed.

one other thing, I’m adding start_date to a custom events listings like this

the date formats like this “2013-01-04”
how can I format it to look like this “1-04-13”?
