I’ve got an issue where ALL event categories are not listing any events even though there are multiple live/active events in the system.

I have disabled all plugins and tried switching to the standard twenty X themes and still the problem persists.

I am now running the latest version of event espresso (3.1.36.4P) with no add-ons and the latest version of wordpress (3.8.1). I was running the previous version of event espresso and after trying all the steps below i upgraded and tried again but still without success.

My setup is to display event categories on a post page by adding the category shortcode to a custom field in the post. I would then output the code into my theme template using the following php:

<?php echo do_shortcode('[EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id="'.$event_code.'"]'); ?>

This was working fine but has now stopped. There are no events displayed, it’s completely blank.

So i changed the php to:

<?php echo do_shortcode('[EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY category_identifier_id="'.$event_code.'"]'); ?>

Now i get the message “no events available…” even though there are events assigned to that category.

So then i tried creating a new category in event espresso and assigning an event to that to test .. still nothing.

I then try adding the standard shortcode into the post itself:

[EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY event_category_id=”stcw95-pstv2-1391533952″]

Nothing displayed .. try the other method

[EVENT_ESPRESSO_CATEGORY category_identifier_id=”stcw95-pstv2-1391533952″]

Again i get the message “no events available…”

Please help, this is driving me mad and i don’t know what else to try to identify the problem.

Hi Michael,

It sounds like you have fixed it but I just want to double check that everything is ok now before I close the thread as you said “issue is not fixed”. I assume this was a typo?
