| August 26, 2013 at 4:25 pm It seems that according to this page the event categories are going to have a bulk upload tool in version 4 or the plugin. Are there any recommended solutions for version 3 that have been successful? I’ve tried bulk category up-loaders but I don’t see the event category taxonomy show up for the available taxonomies to import into. |

The event importer in 3.1.36-ALPHA has been improved and include the ability to import categories. You can download a copy here. Probably the easiest thing to do would be to deactivate your current version of EE, upload and activate the copy of 3.1.36, use the copy of events.csv in that copy as your template in your spreadsheet program to put in your list of categories, remember to save it as a csv file (not an excel file), upload it through the event import tool, deactivate 3.1.36 and activate your current version. |
