If you go forward a month, then back a month, the thumbnail shows the full image.

The JavaScript that handles the image sizes seems to have a race condition where if the image is portrait oriented it goes with the default image thumbnail height instead. I’m not sure why, and it’s not something that’s consistent. You can see this when you advance forward one month then back, then it redraws the image at the proper height.
This may turn out to be a limitation to what we can do with the fullcalendar jQuery plugin as it wasn’t really intended to include image thumbnails. We may end up coming up with a work around for this, but for now the best I do is advise to use square or landscape oriented images for the thumbnails.
Yes. We added a workaround in one of the latest builds of the calendar beta.
