I just purchased the business license and installed the plugin. For some reason the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] short code does not seem to be working. I added two test events and added the page http://ultimatestreetcarassociation.com/event-list/ with the short code for each event. When you click on the Register button it takes you to http://ultimatestreetcarassociation.com/event-registration/?ee=1 but the page just displays [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] | |

I have the Main Registration page set to Event Registration and that page has the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] short code as per the page setting documentation. “Main Registration page – the plugin will create a page called Event Registration which will contain the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode and will display your events as well as process the registrations.” Not sure what might be wrong. | |
Not sure either. Can you try temporarily disabling the other plugins installed on the site to rule out a conflict? This will help narrow down what’s causing the issue. | |
Done.. still not displaying correctly. The short codes [EVENT_LIST] in the event list page is working fine. | |
| Hi Michael, Can you make a new temporary page (call it anything you would like) Add the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode to that page and publish, then set the ‘Main Registration page’ to that page, and retest please. |
Well that seemed to do the trick. I had deleted amd trashed the page that EE created when it was installed and rebuilt it but it still didn’t work. When I changed the default page to Register it worked fine. Strange… | |
| Strange, re-creating the page shouldn’t be an issue. Event Espresso should work with any page as long as it contains the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] and has been selected within the General Settings. However we have seen it before that the default page just stops parsing the shortcode as above for various reasons, re-creating the page usually resolves the issue. |
