How do I achieve this with the Event Espresso Advanced plugin? Is this a standard feature? Please let me know, and thank you in advance.

We recommend installing a private SSL certificate for the domain, and forcing the registration page and payments/transactions pages to load in https. The WordPress https plugin will let you set these pages to load in https once there is an SSL certificate installed on the site.

You can get a free SSL cert from startSSL.com

So I need this SSL certificate for on website payment/transaction pages? BUT if I have this SSL the Event Espresso Social Media won’t play nice with Twitter because Twitter doesn’t work with SSL?

If you want to encrypt the PayPal button, yes. I think that guide needs to be updated, because I tested the tweet button on my dev server (running the WordPress https plugin) and the tweet button seemed to work okay.
