We found out, that not even the passwords are encrypted in the database. They are clear readable by everyone, who managed to enter the db.
As we most likely want to ask for credit card details for event registration, we would like to have encrypted data in the database.
Is there an option?

Best regards and thanks,
dh

Event Espresso does not store passwords in the database. If your WP installation is doing that, then that is something unrelated to our plugin.

We also do not recommend storing credit cards on your server or database, nor do we have systems in place to store that type of data. You should look into using one of the gateways that are pre-installed in Event Espresso.
