I’ve read a few topics now on this, seems like potentially quite a bit of custom code to allow for turning event registration on or off for certain events. It also seemed indicated that there would be an update for this coming at some stage?
This would translate into most areas to not show Register requests, (such as not showing “event registration is closed”, nor showing a “register” box in the Calendar tooltip.) and really just providing a ‘detail’ page instead of registration page.
Many (but not all) of our events are just an open event, with address and how much (on the door) and a flier. and so registration is not required.
So I’ve played around more with the code, and have attached the registration showing or not to the relative toggle (show registration form Y/N), in event_list. The solution is working so far.
Although as a more systemic solution, is there thoughts on moving towards a Toggle altogether, (going so far to make registration times/dates irrelevant?)
