Emails not going out

    Hi,
    The plugin is working fine but, unfortunatelly, automated messages are not going out. I am using the WP SMTP plugin, which is working well otherwise.
    Please, let me know if you need further details.
    I would appreciate your help regarding this issue.

    Hi Martin,

    Are you receiving any emails at all – admin or attendee?

    Are other emails from your site going out?

    Have you checked your spam folder? However, I did a registration on one of the free events, and so far not received anything, so this may be moot, at least for registrant emails.

    Generally if it isn’t a setting issue, it’s down to the server. If WP Mail SMTP doesnt help we do recommend services such as Mandrill (has a free trial if memory serves) and Postmarkapp.

      Hi Dean,
      Many thanks for your reply.
      No email is going out from Event Espresso. I will have a look at the server settings, but I doubt there’s a problem considering that the rest of the website is working fine.

              You could try the beta that’s available in the pre-release channel -or- make the following edit in /includes/functions/email.php, which is in the next version of Event Espresso:

              ~ lines 569 and692 have a $headers variable that gets assigned a MIME type:

              $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n";

              you can change it to:

              $headers = "";

                We solved the issue. The problem was that it was sending two Reply-To headers and Amazon SES don’t accept that. Many thanks for your support.

                  Hi Martin,

                  Thanks for letting us know what it turned out to be. I’m thinking we might need to figure out a way to remove the reply to headers if there’s another plugin (like WP Mail SMTP) that’s also adding reply to headers.
