I need to send confirmation emails to a contact person who may not be an attendee. Payment-confirmation emails seem to only email the primary attendee, so I’m assuming I could alter the code to get the contact person’s email address instead. What do you think would be the best approach? A custom function? Are there similar options in Event Espresso 4.0 that would justify getting the current developer copy?

Thanks

Hi,

Customising the template file/s and/or a custom function are likely to be the best route here.

The messaging system is being overhauled for 4.0 but I cannot currently confirm if there is anything suitable for your needs in there.

You could use the following hook to send out an email to someone – http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/event-espresso-3-1-action-hooks/#action_hook_espresso_email_after_payment
