After succesful registration, the emails are being sent with the senders email name as WordPress. The email address is the wordpress install email address in which is fine, but I’d like to change that as well. Where do I go to make these changes?
The first one can be changed by using the “enable fancy email headers” option under Event Espresso>General settings under Email settings.
Event Espresso doesn’t have a setting that changes the email address to something else, so you could try a plugin like the send from plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/send-from/
With “Use fancy email headers?” enabled, the system doesn’t send emails out at all. When I disable it, it send emails out but the from field says WordPress. Other plugins that I have installed send the emails out with the correct info in the from field. Should I just try the plugin you mentioned or is there something else that we can try?

Try the send from plugin. It’s likely the mail server on your site is not configured to accept the way Event Espresso sets the mail headers.
