I’m hoping for some help on the following issues:

1. Can you please tell me how to delete the icons used?
2. Can I translate the names of items, like “tickets”?
3. I upgraded to version 4, purchased the Calendar Table Add-On, and I just see a white space. Nothing. Version 3 worked great :( [http://pivotpointprojects.com/upcoming-events/]
4. Suggestion: your website is pretty confusing to navigate. I’m sure it makes sense to you, but for a newcomer trying to find answers, the pricing is a bit sneaky. I just purchased support for $5, and now I’m seeing that if I really want help, it’s $70. What did I pay $5 for?

Thank you. I love the concept of Event Espresso, but not finding it very easy to learn. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Greta

Hi,

1) There’s two options here: One is to replace the images in the folder with your own images (file names/types need to be the same). The Other would involve a code edit to change the use of images to text.

2) Yes, you can do this via translation files – http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/ – make sure you have the latest language file from github

If you only want to change the band/artist, there is a parameter that can be used change_title=”your new title”

3) Version 4 does not have support for any add ons currently. This is stated in the EE4 announcement page http://staging.eventespresso.com/2014/02/event-espresso-4-beta-officially-released/ as well as on the EE4 migration page within your admin area.

4) We try to make things as easy as possible but I agree our site could do with streamlining.

You do not have to pay for support, while you have a valid licence.

The VIP ($5 a month) option is to allow you to get ahead of the queue in general support, plus we had planned some additional features in the future for VIP members.

Priority Support ($70) is for when you need hands on help that goes above and beyond standard support, such as getting us to go into your site and setting up the plugin or fixing your theme to work with the plugin etc.

Neither VIP membership nor Priority support tokens are required to get general support.
