hi, I have EE instaled on my page for few days and have some problems :
    1. if I put into the admin page in WP the licence code, it still shows me (in the EE account, that is not active. But I put the licence maybe 36 hours before).

    2. if I will fill the registration for the event, I have conformation mail but nothing is in (is mail without information).

    thanx for your help.

    Roman

    Hello Roman,

    1) Can you check that the licence key does not have any spaces before or after it and re-save the General Settings page. Also is the site accessible as it needs to communicate with our site, so it cannot be blocked in any way.

    2) Thats odd. Can you check the General Settings page to make sure the Registration Confirmation email has content in it. Also in the event itself, does the Email Confirmation box near the bottom look like this http://d.pr/i/JjUc or are any of the settings different?

      Hello Dean,
1, I did it. I checked the number and is without any spaces also before and after. Is still same. Also I thing that the site is not blocked. But – dont know how to check it :-)

      2) I checked the confirmation box, and the problem was there – there is content in the box – general settings page, but I had “yes” – send custom confirmation. BUT also I had content in the box with “custom confirmation” mail.

      OK,

Well Im happy number 2 is sorted. Number one is a bit strange.

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

If so, please send them via http://staging.eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

      Hi Roman,

Everything looks in order so perhaps the key went wrong. I have deleted that key and generated you a new one. Give it 24 hours if nothing then let us know.

              Hi Roman,

Not sure why this isn’t working as everything seems to be in order. I reset it again to be sure and will refer to a dev for assistance.

I tested the licence key again Roman, and tried it one one of my test installs and it found it instantly. As such I can only assume there is something either on your site or to do with the server setup that is blocking communication between your site and ours.

I couldnt see any plugins that might be doing this, so you may want to speak to your hosting provider.

Hi, thanx, I will write to my hosting provider to check it. Also I will try to instal eventespresso on my second site and will see. But how it should be with the licence number after, because is just for one site and if it will connect with new site ….

I’m happy too. Now have some trouble with automatic actualisation of the calendar (it shows me this msg :

                      ” Aktualizace je stahována z http://staging.eventespresso.com?pu_request_plugin=espresso-calendar&pu_get_download=1&pue_active_version=2.0.6.1&site_domain=www.myfit.cz&pue_install_key=409026427&pu_plugin_api=99d648b7aa48c554df84c088783861ca&new_pue_check=1…
An error occurred while updating Event Espresso – Calendar: Stažení se nezda?ilo. Failed to connect to 176.32.100.72: Operation not permitted

hope will not be big trouble with this :-)

Looks like a similar issue. The licence key and updates basically use the same system, so it looks like you have some more issues for connecting outbound.

If necessary you can always download the updates from your account page and manually install them via WordPress or FTP.

                        Hi again,
yes, is ok now also with the updates.
                        Hope last think :

In EE system status I have 2 msgs:
                        1. WP Memory Limit 40MB – We recommend setting memory to at least 64MB. See: Increasing memory allocated to PHP , but I have setup 128 MB on the server

                        2. PHP Sessions
                        Session save path
Warning: is_dir(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/var/tmp) is not within the allowed path(s): (/data/www/18714/myfit_cz) in /data/www/18714/myfit_cz/www/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-1/includes/espresso-admin-status.php on line 295
/var/tmp does not exist – contact your host to resolve the problem.

I’m in touch also with the server about it.
