Here is my registration page:
http://argentinetango.us/register

There are a few issues:
– Each person that goes through the registration page gets added twice to the system (duplicate entries)
– Clicking submit doesn’t bring the user to the correct page. Currently it just remains on the same page (above) instead of going to my Thank you page (http://argentinetango.us/thank-you/)
– Even though I have stripe credentials entered and set up a paid registration option, the system does not take you to a payment page

Hi William,

There may be some code from the theme that is breaking the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode. Can you try wrapping the shortcode on the /register page with the [raw] short tag?

It will look like this:

[raw][ESPRESSO_EVENTS][/raw]

Hello – thanks. I installed the raw html plugin. It treats the shortcode as text because it is in the raw tags, and just displays “[ESPRESSO_EVENTS]” instead of the reg info.

Don’t think it works as you intended…

I would recommend deactivating the raw html plugin. The theme may be already adding the raw short tag.

I tried it both ways. the raw tags just show up in the webpage if the raw plugin is not enabled, so I don’t think the raw tag support is included with the theme.

Any updates? I moved it to
http://argentinetango.us/reg/

Same problem.

Hello William,

Try to rule out any plugin conflicts. Deactivate all non-Event Espresso plugins, then test to see if the problem is still occurring. If it isn’t then we know it is a plugin conflict. To find out which one, activate each plugin individually testing for the issue after each activation. If the issue occurs after activating a plugin, this plugin is the culprit.

Hi,

I’m also having this issue, although I think I’m slightly more beginner!

Could someone take a look at my website Late Night Essex please? We’ve currently just got a test event up there, but we need to have the full ticketing available ready for the new year events!

Thanks in advance,

Freddie

Another thing that could be causing this problem is out of date template files.

If you have ftp access (you will need this to revert these changes), then under Event Espresso > Template Settings > Developer Templates (at the bottom), click “Rename Template Directory” (screenshot here). Now test to see if the problem is still occurring. If it isn’t, and you had made any changes to the template files, you will just need to add those changes to the updated template files in the wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/templates directory. Be sure and move the modified files to the wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates directory to prevent them from being overwritten during an update of Event Espresso.
