the name says it all . . the registration page has this comments thing at the bottom and you cant disable that in wordpress native (only posts). Is this a function of the theme I need to strip out or can you recommend a plugin that kills this issue?

With apologies to you all if this has been asked or I win the newbie tag :)

Hi Derek,

No need to apologise. Comments are part of WordPress core and the theme controls the display.

You can stop comments in WordPress settings (Settings > Discussion) though you may need to edit the Page in question and stop comments their directly as it has already been made. If you cant see the option go to the top right click screen options and then tick the discussion box.

However this may still leave a “Comments are closed” message. Check the theme settings to see if it has an option to hide this (some do, some dont).

Most themes have php code in the page.php something like “ removing that will remove comments from ALL pages. Or you can check out creating a page template http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Creating_Your_Own_Page_Templates

Okay okay . . I found it. So dont all throw lemons at me yet. Screen options then turn on viewing comments then turn off the comments dialog. Piece of cake. :) Ignore all, everyone, go about your business :)
