I’ve enabled the “Use a custom time zone for each event” option under General Settings and that seems to be working great. However, I can’t get the timezone to display next to the date on the calendar (screenshot). Instead of showing the custom timezone selected, it shows the default timezone. The timezone is saving correctly into the database, but the settings at Event Espresso > Calendar Settings > Basic Settings > Time Format seem to ignore this (screenshot). Any advice?

    Hi

Have you set your timezone in the General Settings to the closest city (e.g. London, New York) or have you set it to a UTC timezone?

Event Espresso needs it to be set to a city location.

Hi Dean. I’ve set it to the closest city – Chicago.

It appears to work correctly everywhere minus using a custom PHP date format in Basic Settings > Time Format. And the other parts of the date work – day, month, year – but not timezone.

        Hi Bri,

OK I see the issue clearly now, definitely not working correctly. I cant see a workaround for it so I will raise a ticket for the developers to look into it.

We can’t give timescales on resolution, so please keep an eye on the changelog, but it is likely to be after 3.2 is released.
