Display events as 'free event' instead of 0.00 in event meta

Hi,

I would like to change the default pricing display for free events – from the digits ‘0.00’ to a short text description. In other words – if the event has a price of 0.00 assigned it outputs the text ‘free event’ instead of the digits. Is this possible without manipulating with core files?

Try modifying event_list_display.php to this:

<div class="event-meta">
             <p id="p_event_price-<?php echo $event_id ?>" class="event_price"><span class="section-title"><?php  echo __('Price: ', 'event_espresso'); ?></span> <?php echo event_espresso_get_price($event_id);?></p>
