When an event is marked as member only, if the event page is accessed by a user which is not logged in, then no details are shown, while asking the user to log in.
From sales point of view, I recommended that the user should see the details and just the registration button/area should be changed to the login requirement description. By doing so, the user can read more about the event and become motivated as to login and register to that event.
Hi Cristi,
I made some modifications to a couple of template files to accomplish what it sounds like you are looking for. You can download the two template files here: https://github.com/sidharrell/eventespresso/tree/master/modded_member_only_reg_page, and place them in uploads/espresso/templates to see if that will suit your needs.
Thanks
