Hi, I’m setting up the shopping cart and discount codes are occasionally working and occasionally saying it’s expired. All events use the same exact discount codes. Additionally when it does work, it’s applying the discount to each attendee instead of to the whole registration total. I’m at a complete loss as to what’s going on.

ETA: Here’s a test registration page http://www.home2teach.com/waitlist/summer-classes/fundamentals-writing-1/

Hi Melissa,

I couldnt test the reg form without a discount code, but one thing came up that is concerning me.

There is a 404 error for the espresso style sheet for version 3.1.15.P.

Do you have any files in your uploads/espresso folder? You can rename that folder via FTP or via a button in the Template Settings page. This will force the plugin to use the default settings and if there are old files in that folder it could explain the erratic behaviour.

Ah hi sorry, I was trying some different options since I didn’t think anyone would be online here until tomorrow morning. I just changed it back to the regular registration through the cart.

And I originally deleted all the files in my uploads/espresso folder and then loaded in the ‘custom’ files that I d/l’d from here last week. But I just renamed it to be on the safe side so you can take a look.

I’m not sure why it keeps showing 3.1.15.P files though since I completely deleted the previous version of EE before installing the new version like the instructions said to do.

Hi,

I live in GMT/UTC +2 so cover the American “graveyard” shift, or as I like to call it, daytime.

I think I understand the issue here though, which is to do with the refresh of the session.

Using a single promo code in the cart will trigger the discount, but if you try to swap the promo code it will cause an error. By clearing out the session (I head to the Registration Cancelled page to do this, but you can clear cache or complete the registration) and trying again with a different promo code it does the same thing: correctly applies the discount but on changing the code it shows an error.

I will get a developer ticket raised on this to look into it.

I would also advise you to check that the event/s have the correct promo codes assigned to it in the event editor.

Regarding the discount the promo codes work on a per ticket basis, so you may want to look at changing it to a percentage discount.

Ah, I see the GMT now you mention it. :) Well hopefully that clears up not being able to switch promo codes at least.

And bummer about the per ticket/attendee discount, the old discount code used to just let me take a certain amount of the total amount being spent. I’ll have to talk to my client to see if I can get her to switch to a percentage for now. Thanks anyway.
