We have found in Plugin settings this note: “If this is a development or test site, please DO NOT enter your Support License Key. Save it for the live production site, otherwise you will unnecessarily run into issues with needing to have your Key reset.”

Wondering how could we else set up our events registration website (on development server) if we should not activate full version of the plugin?

Do we get a separate key just for development server?

Thank you!

Hi Tony,

A separate site license key is not created for development sites.

The site license key is used for support services such as enabling one-click updates. I also want to mention that you can request that your key be released from your Event Espresso account page.

Cheers

Lorenzo

Thanks so much Lorenzo!

Could you please clarify this for us:
“I also want to mention that you can request that your key be released from your Event Espresso account page.”

So our question is: Is there any additional cost if we decide to develop website with the Espresso Business Licence on Development domain/server and then later we copy it to production domain/server? Note that we want to keep development site functional too.

Hi Tony, you can do this but you would need to request to have your site license key released once you are ready to move to production.

Once this happens, support services such as one-click updates would only be available for your production site.

Gotcha! Lorenzo thank you for the additional clarification.

Hi Lorenzo,

We purchased personal license yesterday. Event Espresso Lite v3.1.35.L has been already installed on our website. How do we activate premium features now? Do we just need to input license code or we need to download full version from somewhere?

Thank you!
