Hi there.

1) I’ve noticed that my cart has been reading that the total is $4-million with no products added to it. While I would really like somebody to pay that for a photography course, is there a way to fix this? Adding a course does add the appropriate amount, but to $4-million.

2) Also – can I get clarification on the short code as follows?
[ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id=”1-2-3″ anchor=”Register for These Events”]

As far as I can tell, I can only put one event in. When I put the other event in, it seems to confuse the system. For example, the following works:

[ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id=”digital-i-calgary-beginner-photography-class-4-52277aaea48c9″anchor=”Register for These Events”]

However, when I add a second event it does not as follows:

[ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id=”digital-i-calgary-beginner-photography-class-4-52277aaea48c9-composition-t-522f8fe6131e0″anchor=”Register for These Events”]

with composition-t-522f8fe6131e0 being the shortcode of the second product.

…also – is there a shortcode to display an event within 1) A certain category AND b) a specific venue?

Hi James,

1) This was a security feature added to check the value in the cart had not been altered from the prices of the events within that cart. If alterations suspected or a problem was found the price would default to $1 million. Unfortunately, sometimes this could also be caused by a corrupt session.

When I checked you site, the cart is working as expected with no events added and a total of $0. If you have been using the event_identifier in place of event_id (see below) you may have still have a corrupted session. Try clearing your browsers cache and check again, or visit /registration-cancelled/ page to clear your session and check again.

2) [ESPRESSO_CART_LINK event_id=”1-2-3″ anchor=”Register for These Events”]

The event_id is different from the event unique identifier. The event_id is a numerical value which you can see in the Event Overview page. On the table there, the first column on the left is ID, that is the event_id.

3) Unfortunately not, currently there is two options. Create another category just for those event within that venue and use either

[EVENT_LIST category_identifier=your_category_identifier]
or
[EVENT_LIST event_category_id=your_category_identifier]

Or create a custom Shortcode and use the Custom Files Add-on

The simplest method (although a little more ‘box ticking’) is to use another category.
