Hi!

I would like to modify how to the event upcoming widget display the list.
I need that the widget show me the next events ordered by month and display the month name as title like this:

December

event 1
event 2
event 3

January

event 1
event 2
event 3

Unfortunately I am in emergency and I have no time to analyze the widget.php template.

Thanks.

Hi Daniele,

This would be considered a customization and as such is not something we cover under support.

The widget currently does not group the events by month and therefor this would need to bu custom coded.

If you need help with this I would suggest contacting one of our recommend developers available on the pro’s page

Ok.

Is possible to display the past events? I would like a page that show me all past events grouped by year:

2013

event 1
event 2
event 3

2014

event 1
event 2
event 3

Hi,

You can display past events by using the [EVENT_LIST show_expired=”true”] shortcode, but it wont separate them into year.

One option would be to add a category to them with the year as the category and that way you could use the following shortcode multiple times

[EVENT_LIST show_expired=”true” category_identifier=2013]
[EVENT_LIST show_expired=”true” category_identifier=2012]
[EVENT_LIST show_expired=”true” category_identifier=2011]

Obviously the category_identifier needs to be correct for the category.

EDIT: sorry I just realised this was for the widget, where my answer is more for pages.

I’m not sure if it can be done with the widget, at least not without modifying its code.
