Customising upcoming events template to have two coloumns – css help please

Hi,

I’m in the process of customising my upcoming events template.

My aim is to have event title, under which is the event description and to the right of the description are all the event details.

To achieve this I moved the description code above the event details code then placed each of these in a div. Now i’m trying to get them to sit next to each other in coloumns.

This is what I have achieved so far: http://redparty.org/upcoming-events/

This is the css being used:
.kiranwrap {
width: 100%;
margin: 0 auto;
border-top: 1px solid #EEE;
padding-top: 20px;
float:clear;
}

.kiranleft {
float: left;
width:70%;

}
.kiranright {
float: right;
margin-left: 150px;
padding-left:50px;
border-left: 1px solid #EEE;
width: 30%;
}

This is by no means complete but this is what I would do to get it left and right and then tweak to sort the padding/margins out

.kiranwrap {
clear:both;
}

.kiranright {
width: 28%; /* or less! or reduce kiranleft width, the border you have takes up 1 px so widths cant be exactly 100% in total due to that width */

/* remove margin and padding! rethink this once the widths are sorted */

}
