We are an educational body currently making a custom function for my wordpress site using the custom files addon. For this custom function I am trying to make it similar to the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode in how they load events but in a categorical view instead. So for example, I have a list of categories similar to how events are layed out and when I click on a category it will display the category similar to how the event registration page is layed out. The problem I’m currently facing is understanding how the registration page is loaded because it doesn’t look the permalink is changed other than appending a query to the end of the URL. Are there any resources that I can be pointed to that can help me understand how event espresso does this page loading? Any advice would also help a lot and will be well appreciated!
If the above sounds confusing, what I mean is that I want to know how Event Espresso handles the page load when you go from the event display page to the event registration page so I can attempt to emulate how the page loads without having to create another shortcode page in WordPress.
The version of WordPress and Event Espresso that I am currently using to create this template is 3.5 and 3.1.30.6P respectively with the plugin on a fresh installation.
