Custom Registration for Sponsors of an Event

I’ve installed EE on WordPress for a non-profit site I admin. It is a phenomenal plugin for capturing Event Registrations but it is confusing when we’re trying to use it to collect Sponsors.

Specifically, the Event Sponsors are sometimes confused because they are registered as an “attendee”. Is there a way to customize the registration to customize certain standard fields at the event level.
