If i create normal WordPress pages like this.

Page1 (Event nr. 1 – Car event )
Page2 (Event nr. 2 – Bike evetn )

And i put the upcomming widget event on both pages. I can choose on the widget which event categori to show.

But, if i want to show upcomming events of the same categori as the page what can i do?

Exmaple:

On Page1 (Event nr. 1 – Car event ) i will see car upcomming events.
On Page2 (Event nr. 2 – Bike event ) i will see bike upcomming events.

Hi,

The easiest way would be to use multiple sidebars and set a different sidebar (containing the same widgets is you would like) to those two specific pages. Each could have an instance of the widget with a different category set.

A quick Google search shows using a plugin such as Custom Sidebars may be what you need.

However there are multiple ways to do this this from editing your theme templates to using a plugin, unfortunately this would be outside the scope of EE support.

So if i had 20 events i needed to make 20 sidebars? :)

Well if you have 20 categories of events yes.

For example if you have 3 bike events, they could all use the Bike sidebar.
2 Car events could both use the Car sidebar and so on.

Obviously that would depend on how the events are categorized.

The upcoming events widget is designed to display the upcoming events for all your events, or from a specific category. You need conditional categories which is not something it was designed for. If you prefer to have a single sidebar with conditional categories it is possible, but would require some custom development.
