We have a custom EE META field for an event’s group type, then we’re trying to query that against what “grouptype” the current user has selected in their profile. This would allow us to show or hide events from the event list based on grouptype.. this does work fine when NOT using custom post types/the page template..
If you place the variable for the EE META shortcode (in our instance as a class on the main div#event-data) the value displays but it is not unique to the event..
I have two events listed currently, one with a grouptype of “industry” the other “small_business” but they both show the grouptype as whatever the first event is in the list.. i have checked and double checked the template files..
Placing these variables in the “normal” event_list.php file works just fine.. but there are some relations we have between our existing CPT’s and were hoping to for this to work via CPTs.
It looks like the event_post.php template is set up to display one event post. How are you displaying multiple event posts?
