We would like to have a workflow where somebody creates an event, but is not allowed to publish or make it active. The event is then reviewed by a manager who has the permissions to publish the event.

Does such a feature exist? I am assuming all of the WordPress editing workflow plugins won’t work since EE doesn’t use custom post types…

Hi Kate,

That’s an interesting point about the Custom Post Types. That’s one of the big changes coming to Event Espresso 4 where the events will be using CPTs. For the time being the Roles and Permissions Pro add-on has an option that lets you set it up so that those with the Event Manager Role can create events, but the events automatically get set to Draft status.
