I have Event Espresso version 3.1.30.7P installed, and Camera slideshow version 1.3.4.3. When this plugin is activated the tiny mce editor on the event details page in the admin doesn’t work. There is a javscript error that I can see with firebug. The tiny mce editor does work when editing a page. By “doesn’t work”, I mean that I cannot get a cursor into the tiny mce editor box. It is just a white box that doesn’t accept text.
My wordpress installation is verion 3.5.1.
I know I can just disable the Camera plugin when editing events, but I’d rather have it working for everything. Is there anything that can be done to make these two plugins work together?
I am sorry about that, it is something that comes up when other plugins/themes modify the editor. Right now there isn’t much that can be done about it.
In the next version of EE (4.0) we have changed the way in which we integrate the TinyMCE editor to help reduce conflicts like this, but it cannot be added into the current version as it would need some core code to be rewritten.
4.0 is due out in the next 1-2 months but will be limited in functionality to begin with.
