    Hello,

None of the event registration pages for my closed events are displaying properly. However, the event pages for all the open events are displaying properly.

You can see what I mean below:
    Closed Event
    Open Event

    Link to Calendar here

Not sure whats going on with all the closed event registration pages since all the open event registration pages seem to be displaying correctly.

    Wordpress Version: WordPress 3.6.1
    Event Espresso: 3.1.35.1.P

    Add-ons
    Calendar: 2.0.6.3
    Multi Event Registration: 1.0.4
    Recurring Events: 1.1.7.1

    Thanks

    Hi there,

It appears that the pages are displaying as Event Espresso is designed. When an event is closed, the “We are sorry but registration for this event is now closed. Please contact us if you would like to know if spaces are still available.” message appears.

Is this not what you are expecting?

I’m referring to the rendering of the page. In the closed events page below the “Event Registration and Ticketing Powered by Event Espresso” text there is a gap between the form and the footer. There is no gap before the footer in the events that are open.

      Hi,

It looks like the modified registration_page_display.php has not been modified correctly. It is possible it is something as simple as a missing closing div tag or something else, it’s hard to say from looking at your site.

A short term resolution would be to remove/rename the registration_page_display.php file from the wp-content/uploads/templates directory. This will make the plugin use the default non modified version and will stop the corrupted display.

I’m using the default non modified registration_page_display.php version and the closed event pages are still showing up corrupted. I’ve looked at the page source and event espresso seems to be inserting code before the html tag. I’m not sure whats causing this to occur.

        Hi Wadir,

Looking at your site, you have 7 files in the templates directory, one of which is the registration_page_display.php.

Now, you could try two things here:

        1) remove/rename the registration_page_display.php file and therefore revert to the defaults

        2) add in the the registration_page.php file to the uploads/templates directory.

The second option is really a must as the following files must be copied in pairs to the uploads/templates directory, even if you only edit one, as they are linked files and not having the partner file may cause issues:

        registration_page.php
        registration_page_display.php

        event_list.php
        event_list_display.php

        multi_registration_page.php
        multi_registration_page_display.php

          Hi Dean,

Thanks for those suggestions. I tried both methods, and neither changed any formatting on any pages. The only customization that we made in those files was to customize the Registration Form, however, we recently switched to the “Add to Cart” button in the events.

Only closed events with the “Add to Cart” button in the event description are displaying the bad formatting. As far as I can remember, we never modified any files to do with the Multi-Event Registration plugin.

Just to check, I backed up and removed all of the files from the uploads/event espresso/templates folder. No changes occurred in any events even with all of the customized templates removed.

What would you recommend we do?

The issue is from having the Add to cart button code running on the closed events. You’ll need to wrap that part of your customization into a conditional so that it does not run on the closed events.

Ah, that makes perfect sense. However, I used this guide to add the button to the event description: http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/multiple-events-registration-use-add-to-cart-link-instead-of-default-registration-form/

Is it possible to do this within the wordpress editor? Would you recommend modifying the singe event template itself instead?

It depends. If you’re adding the button to every event it would make sense to add it to the template.
