clicking radio button with additional attendees causes page to jump up

I’ve created a long registration form that includes three separate radio buttons users must click in order to register. Up to 4 additional attendees can be registered. I noticed that when I added 2 additional attendees, and I clicked the first of the 3 radio buttons, the page jumped back up to the first radio button for the primary registrant. These were checkboxes previously, but I was having a similar problem with them (jumping up the page as well as unchecking boxes), so I switched to radio buttons, hoping it would eliminate the problem. It’s better but not great.

If you go to the Registration Page, and click the 3 radio buttons in the Medical Info section, then add two more registrants and click the same 3 buttons for each, you should be able to see it.

Any way to prevent this? And really, I’d prefer to use checkboxes, if at all possible, but I’m willing to go with the radio buttons.

Thanks!

Oh, I forgot, the page is password protected during the early registration period. I could send the password privately.

Lucinda,

I was not able to recreate the issue. I added several additional attendees and the page never jumped when clicking on the radio buttons. What browser are you using? I tested this in the latest version of Chrome.

Hi Jonathan,

I’m using Firefox 18.0.1.

And like I said, I’d prefer to use checkboxes, but they did the same thing with the added complication that some of the boxes would un-check themselves and have to be rechecked.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Lucinda,

I just tested this on FF 18.0.1 and did manage to recreate the jump, it is going back to Additional attendee 1 and filling the radio button in there.

It must be something that FF doesn’t like, as I concur with Jonathan there is no issue in Chrome.

I have also been able to recreate this on a test server. I will raise a developer ticket to look into it as I can’t see a fix.

Hi Dean,

Thanks for taking a look at it. In your developer ticket, please mention that the problem also occurs with checkboxes, as I mentioned above, and that the boxes also seem to randomly uncheck and recheck.

Thanks!

No problem, I had already mentioned checkboxes as I confirmed these were an issue also.
