-Is it possible to use the iPad app to manually check in guests at an event without enabling the ticketing system? In other words, I’d like to avoid using the QR/tickets, but still be able to use the app to check people in manually.
-Is it possible to use the iPad app with manual check-in without an internet connection? Can I sync the .csv file of the applicable event so I don’t have to worry about wifi?
If not, do you guys have any other recommendations for managing check in beyond printing the spreadsheet and doing it manually without an internet connection at the event?
The iPad can indeed be used to manually check in users, so can the iPhone/Android but it’s more fiddly. The ticketing system is still needed (ticketing addon and the espresso-services or JSON API as appropriate) as that is how the devices communicate with your website. There is no offline version currently, though it is something we have been thinking about, and may include in future versions.
Without an internet connection, you would need to resort to pen and paper or laptop with the spreadhseet.
