Hi, I’d like to wrap 3 recent events (in the Upcoming Events widget) in a div for styling purposes; I don’t want the event title to be included. I’ve been playing around with the widget.php file and can only wrap each individual event; is there a way to do what I’m after? Thanks for your help!

Hi Angela,

In the widgets.php look for the $before_widget and $after_widget variables. These are set by the theme, but output before and after the widget, unsurprisingly enough.

You could set these variables in the template to modify the output. E.g.

/* Before widget (defined by themes). */
$before_widget = "<div>";
echo $before_widget;

Funnily enough, that worked perfectly ;) I just had to shift a few things around and it did the trick…thanks Dean!
