Hello there. I am trying to work out how to change the text ‘enter attendee information’ I need it to read ‘continue’ or something along those lines.

Also I was wondering if there is any way to show on calendar view how many spaces are available for an event?

Many thanks in advance

Hi,

Regarding the text, there are two ways, both involving translation:

1) Follow this guide to use the translation files to change the text http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/

2) Use this function in your themes functions.php file to modify the text http://www.viper007bond.com/2011/07/13/changing-core-wordpress-strings/

Regarding the capacity in the calendar, go to Calendar Settings and scroll down to the memory management section and change Display Attendee Limits to Yes, this will display the count on the calendar tooltip.

If that option is not available to you, please update to the latest version of the calendar.

Hi,

It looks like you have Tooltips disabled on the Calendar.

It is the Tooltips that would display the available spaces so without those they will not be displayed. http://d.pr/i/iOEh

Hi Oliver,

It could be that the files downloaded from the Github repository were corrupt.

Githubs downloading methods are a bit weird:

To download the PO file – left click the link on the main page and then right click the Raw button in the top right of the page that comes up and save as.

To download the MO file – left click the link on the main page, and then left click the View Raw text link in the middle of the page that comes up.

If you don’t do this you may end up with a MO and PO file that contains garbage data and the language wont work.

I got it in the end by copying and pasting the text into a notepad file then trying each text format until it liked it! Got there eventually and now am messing about trying to change some text. I am trying to alter the attendee 1 bit to read contact details, and the copy from: bit to explain that you can use the above persons contact details etc. But I cant find them at the moment.

One of the EE team mentioned that in a future release it will be possible to just take on lot of details from a group booking and avoid all this hassle with multiple attendee information being asked for. Any idea when this might be available?

Hi,

We are looking to improve group booking and the whole registration process in version 4 and beyond.
