Does anyone know how to change the colour of the font on the widget?

Hi,

Via CSS. Add the folowing to your themese style.css file or to a plugin like My Custom CSS

.widget-area .events a,
.widget-area .events a:visited {
color: #000;
}

This will change the links to black and also if they are visited they will remain black.
