In the event registration cart, regardless of how many events are selected, the Total Price always updates to $0.00.

I have changed to 2010 Theme and deactivated other plugins with same result.

I found that Chrome’s Java Script Console reports:

The page at https://gsship.org/event-registration/?regevent_action=show_shopping_cart displayed insecure content from http://gsship.org/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php.

A View of the page source code shows:
<script type='text/javascript'>var ee_pagination={"ajaxurl":"http://gsship.org/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php"};</script>

It seems that espresso.php is hardcoding the http: in the url when it registers the script. Is that correct?

I also noticed that in IE Browser, the remove from cart buttons for events do not work and the Total Price never stops spinning.

You can link to the cart here:

I am running:
WP 3.5.2
Event Espresso Version 3.1.33.3.P
Event Espresso – Calendar Version 2.0.6.1
Event Espresso – MailChimp Integration Version 1.1
Event Espresso – Multi Event Registration Version 1.0.4
Event Espresso – Permissions Version 1.5.4.1
Event Espresso – Recurring Events Version 1.1.7.1
Event Espresso – Social Media Version 1.1.5.1
Event Espresso – Ticketing Version 2.0.10.1
Event Espresso API Plugin Version 2.0.1.B
WordPress HTTPS Version 3.3.6

Thanks for your help on this.

Hi Byron,

Event Espresso doesn’t hardcode URL’s as http, in order to make a page load as https you would need to use a plugin like WordPress HTTPS, so it’s likely that or another plugin. Please refer to this guide on setting up https:

Josh,

Thanks for the reply. After a few hours sleep, I figured out that while I was using WordPress HTTPS to force SSL on the necessary Event Espresso pages, I was not forcing SSL for Admin. Because of that, the “ajaxurl” was being set as http because the admin-url was not forced to https.

So, once I checked Force SSL Administration on the HTTPS General Settings, every thing works as advertised. Total updates as it should.

After figuring this out, I went back and re-read the “Securing your registration and payment pages” article you have the link to above. I guess, as many times as I read it before, for some reason, I kept skipping over step “3- If you are using the Multi Event Registration add-on enable “Force SSL Administration” by checking the box.” (When all else fails, read the instructions, AGAIN!)

Thanks for such a great plugin and the great support you all provide.
