I’m doing a test run on an event I just added.

1st issue – When I try to remove an item from the cart I get the following message: An error occurred, a valid price is required.

2nd issue – After adding an item to the cart, I click on the number of attendees and get the same message: An error occurred, a valid price is required.

Please advise

Hi MsBecca,

There’s a few reason that can happen, as the site is in maintenance mode can you send log in details using http://staging.eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ so we can investigate this further please.

I’m not getting any errors when adding/removing events or attendees and can not see anything obvious that would cause those errors.

This could be a session/caching issue. You could try clearing your browsers cache and see if it continues to happen.

Also, one thing I noticed is you do not have a ‘Cancel Return Page’ set. If you look under Event Espresso -> System Status. Then ‘Registration Pages’ you see the page is not set.

Under Event Espresso -> General Settings. ‘Page Settings’ the Cancel Return URL is set to ‘Main Page’ this should be set to the page containing [ESPRESSO_CANCELLED].

What this will also allow you to do is clear your sessions quickly whilst testing. The default page is /registration-cancelled/ so if this was still set you could visit that page to clear your session which will remove all the events from cart.

Also it will allow visitors to do the same.
