Hi,

Are you using the latest HD version of the app? https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/event-espresso-hd/id604494948

Hi,

If you have more than 100 events, attendees, or registrations you’ll need to update the app’s default settings.

You can go into the iOS device settings and scroll down past the apps developed by Apple to where you see individual app settings.

There you can tap Event Espresso and go into its settings and adjust the default settings as needed.

More info here:
http://staging.eventespresso.com/wiki/mobile-apps/

You can also increase the settings in WP Admin>Event Espresso>API Settings to see if that assists.

Hi, Dean!

Thanks for the quick reply! I adjusted the settings, but still nothing. I guess one of the other plugins interferes with it somehow. I will try disabling them to see if that helps.

Allbest,

Jens

Hi,

Let me know how you get on with that!

Just a little update:

There seems to be more broken with my installation of Event Espresso than just the iPad problem. For example, I can’t access the registration form (which means I can’t register for events). With an installation of the Lite version on a different server, everything works perfectly, but the business version on the main server does not work. I think I may need to make a clean install of the tool with all the addons.

Could it be that my home-made theme (that is custom-built and not a child-theme of anything) is causing the trouble?

Thanks for all your time,

Jens

Hi Jens,

With the iOS app 404ing, is the WP blog url different than the site URL? If so, you’ll need to log in to the app using the URL where WordPress is installed.

With the registration form not working, can you post a link to the page that has the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode on it so we can investigate?

Hey!

The URL is either http://www.swingandthecity.com/ or http://www.swingandthecity.com/_wp/, the registration page is at http://www.swingandthecity.com/event-registration/

Thanks,

Jens

Update: The registration process works now – it was a problem with some rewrites and the .htaccess file that were relinking to somewhere that EventEspresso could not handle.
