i have tried using an iPad and an iphone 5 (ios6).

the endings were being generated by the share this wordpress plugin. i have curreently dissabled it, and when i access the iphone app i still do not see any events being pulled through (old app), new HD app still has ‘sorry can’t log in 500 internal issue’

There could be another plugin that’s creating a conflict with the API. You can rule this out by temporarily deactivating all the plugins on the site, then reactivate Event Espresso and its JSON API, then try logging in again.

Further troubleshooting steps can be followed here:

hi

thanks, it turned out it was WP Minify plugin which was causing the conflict. The app now works when that plugin is switched off.

the wp minify plugin integrates the Minify engine into your WordPress blog. Once enabled, this plugin will combine and compress JS and CSS files to improve page load time.

Thanks for the feedback, and good catch. Minifying is a great way to speed up a website but if done incorrectly it can cause problems (I recently had a similar issue on a site that was not running Event Espresso).

You might want to check the settings and see if you can exclude Event Espresso files.
