I can’t seem to get the discount to show in the cart.

Multi Event Plugin is installed and active.

Volume Discounts is installed and active.

Allow Discounts in cart = yes

My event allows group registrations with Max Registrants = 2 and price for event is set.

My volume discount is triggered when there are 2 registrants and should apply a flat dollar discount.

I register 2 people on the public website but never trigger the discount.

What am I missing?

TIA

I figured out that there is a discount applied in the cart if you click “Add to Cart” but the discount NEVER gets applied if you click the REGISTER button as it goes all the way through the full checkout without ever getting to the “cart” screen.

Is that a bug or am I missing something?

It’s actually a feature, the volume discount add-on is designed to only work in the cart. You can set the event to not display the single event registration form and include a shortcode in the event description to move the registration to the cart. Please see this guide for some tips on how to make this happen:

Cool. Thanks for the advice.

The shortcode worked but now I’m getting the error “It looks like you are attempting to refresh a page after completing your registration or your cart is empty. Please go to the events page and try again.”

Here’s the event page
http://bestseller.wpengine.com/registration/?ee=1

Here’s the shortcode as entered:
[ESPRESSO_CART_LINK anchor=”Register for this Event” direct_to_cart=1 moving_to_cart=”Redirecting to cart…”]

What am I doing wrong?

TIA

It looks like the built in add to cart link is not working on this page as well:

http://bestseller.wpengine.com/registration/

Which I believe was working yesterday.

Something is clearing the session that would normally store the added event in the cart.

If you notice you can click “Add to Cart” to add the event to the cart on this page:

http://bestseller.wpengine.com/registration/

Then instead of clicking “View Cart” try refreshing the page and you’ll see that the View cart changes back to “Add to Cart”. This normally doesn’t happen. Are there any other shortcodes other than [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] on this page?
