Can't find where to increase "WordPress Memory Limit" – is not as advised

The EE status tab is warning that the ‘WordPress Memory Limit’ should be increased. I’ve followed the links through advising how to do this, but in the files they instruct that the figure should be altered, there is NO mention of ‘wordpress memory limit’ just one place in one file that mentions the word but does not have any figure with it (i.e. the 48mbs or 64mbs figure ). I’m wondering if those codex tutorials are out of date?

How do I increase this figure please?

Hi Miranda,

Within the root directory of your WordPress install.

You should see wp-config.php – open that up.

Paste this

define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '96M');

on a blank line, towards the bottom for ease of finding later on.

Wordpress will now attempt to allocate 96MB of memory if your host allows.

That should it :)
