Hello! I have a strange problem. None of the “pop-up” or “pop-open” features in EventEspresso are working for me. Examples: the little blue “info” question marks, the calendars when creating an event, and – importantly – the payment gateways drop-downs on the Payment Settings page.
I’ve installed EventEspresso (purchased versions, with license, not free version) on three different websites and this is the first time I’ve run into this. Could it be the WP theme? or a Plug-in interfering? I don’t even know where to begin to figure this out – anyone have insight?
It’s most likely a JavaScript conflict from either the active WP theme or another plugin. So you’d need to switch to the default theme to rule out a theme conflict. Deactivating plugins one by one will rule out a plugin conflict.
That sounds like you have another plugin active that is running a version of jQuery that conflicts with the version of jQuery that ships with WordPress. Try deactivating your other plugins (particularly plugins that change or modify the back-end) and see if you can figure out which one it is. Then let us know so we can take a note if this comes up again.
Thank you, Chris & Josh. Turns out it’s the theme, which needs to be upgraded anyway. Good to know about potential jQuery conflicts, though, for future reference!
Thanks again!
